Sally Hansen Nail Prism in Ruby Emerald

Remember the giveaway!

The Nail Prism line had some amazing gems and I tend to forget that I have these older polishes. I get distracted by the new stuff so I decided to pull out Ruby Emerald and enjoy it. Unfortunately, this is discontinued and hard to find.

One coat of Ruby Emerald over Diamond Cosmetics Cherry Tobacco. These are under the Ott light and it's lovely.

Here is some sun shots and this is where it really shines. There is no hidden shimmer in this baby. *sigh* Sexy beast.

Sally Hansen Midnight Sky

Don't forget about the raffle!

I can't remember when Midnight Sky from the Xtreme Wear line was released. I want to say in the fall of 2011 but I'm not 100% sure. It's a stunning graphite grey that is a cross between a foil and a shimmer. It's softer than a black and has a wonderful formula.

Sally Hansen Teal-y Fast

Such a beautiful color. Teal-y Fast is a rich and lush teal blue. It reminds me of velvet or other decadent fabrics. I am not a fan of the brush of these Insta-Dri polishes but put up with them because some of the colors are great. They also work as stamping polishes.

Sally Hansen Earthen Opal

I think the Fire Opal line from Sally Hansen gets overshadowed by the Nail Prisms. I think that is a shame because the Fire Opal line has some gems. I suggest wearing them layered over a darker color to make them shine. Earthen Opal is loaded with shimmer and has a dark red with hints of purple base and a bronze/brown flash of color. The duochrome quality is subtle but the twinkle shimmer isn't.

Smackdown: CND Sugar Sparkle vs Sally Hansen Glass Slipper

These are very close to each other. The differences are subtle with Glass Slipper having larger flakes and a more shimmer in its base. This is the closest I have come to finding anything close to CND Sugar Sparkle which is good since it is not longer available. I think this may satisfy you if you have been wanting Sugar Sparkle.

One coat of each over a grey creme. Feel free to click any image to make it bigger.

Sally Hansen Glass Slipper

I love this polish which is nice because it wasn't easy to find. I found two displays and it was gone in each one. I finally found it hidden in a Revlon display. Silly people! Like I wouldn't find it there? The nail polish sense is strong within me. This is a really good dupe to CND Sugar Sparkle which I'll show you in another post.

This is one coat over a grey creme.

Color Appreciation: Blue Creme Polishes

Hello! I hope that 2012 greeted you in a good way. Laura gave me the idea of doing a color appreciation post and I decided to start with blue. Blue is a close second to green as being a favorite polish color for me and there are a number of different ones that I really like. It will blue all week and I decided to start it off by showing a few blue creme polishes that I enjoy.

Barry M Cyan Blue

Barry M Cobalt Blue

Essie Shelter Island

Models Own Betty Blue

Petites Color Fever Creme Blue

Sally Hansen Pacific Blue

Sally Hansen Gray by Gray - not exactly blue on me but it does have a blue tinge.
