Nails Inc Feathers Cornwall

I really like the Feathers collection from Nails Inc. I was a bit hesitant because I am not the biggest fan of bar/string glitter but these are small and matte and bright. They really do give a brushed/feathered look to the nail. In photos they look sparse but in reality they have a more opaque look to them. I found that these polishes look much, much better in real life as opposed to in photos.

I decided to wear Cornwall first which is a blue and white bar glitter. I wore one coat over Orly Boho Bonnet. This is one coat kind of dabbled on but it has great coverage. It's not shiny even with topcoat and when it's removed those little bar glitters tend to go all over the nail. I think it looks so cool!! I bought these at Sephora.

Rainbow Polish Sky Walker

Sky Walker is from the Star Set 2 collection that is inspired by Star Wars from Rainbow Polish. I saw it available and bought it happily because I have the first set and enjoy it. Wonderful formula and great glitter payoff without any work.

This is one coat of Sky Walker over CND Miss Wu with one coat of topcoat.

LeChat Brazilian Muse

Giveaway!!

Brazilian Muse is from the Carnaval collection from LeChat. It's a multi-shaped snow globe type glitter. Very pretty and wintery in feel. I found this collection at a little local place and it's full of glittery goodness. I'll be showing them in the next few posts.

My hands are so dry lately so pardon the grease/shine around the cuticle area. My skin is just drinking up moisture.

Etude House If Story Kit 4: If the White Witch Melts with Love

The fourth duo from Etude House. I'm curious to see if they will release more of these sets. Or maybe they have and I don't know about them. I purchased this from The Cutest Makeup. I posted Set One, Set Two and Set Three already if you would like to see them. I think the first set is my favorite so far.

This is If the White Witch over Essie Bangle Jangle. This was very thick so I got bubbles and it didn't settle completely. It will need thinner for sure next time I wear it.

This is two coats of Melts with Love over Butter London Foundation. The base is tinted but I wanted to make sure my stained nails were somewhat covered.

Etude House If Story Nail Kit 3: If Snow of Love Falls on the Christmas Tree

Another duo set from Etude House. There is something about sets that seem to call to me. The fact that they are glitter is even better. The name reminds me of some code phrase that some spy would say which amuses me. I bought this from The Cutest Makeup and she sent a ton of samples and shipping was extremely quick. Very impressed.

This is If Snow of Love over Butter London Abso-Bloody-Lutely. It has star shaped glitter and really does feel like a Christmas tree. I forgot topcoat, opps, so it's not as shiny as it could be.

This is Falls on the Christmas Tree over Essie Butler Please. This has pink shimmer that was a bit hard to capture on film. It also has heart shaped glitter but for the life of me I could not get any of them out of the bottle.

Deborah Lippmann Christmas in the City Set

Have you checked out the raffle/giveaway

Christmas in the City from Lippmann is a Nordstrom exclusive and I'm going to be honest - I regret buying it.  I think the word 'exclusive' pulled me in because I have no willpower. The formula on them is below standard for what I expect from Lippmann and the white and red and pretty standard and not very exciting colors. I was really excited about Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree because glitter! but it didn't live up to what I wanted it to be. So big regret overall from me on this set.

And I woke up this morning and the corner of my nail on my middle finger was broken. Please pardon the uneven nail. How the hell do you break a nail sleeping? I'm blaming one of the cats. I think they are trying to kill me.

Let it Snow is a frosty white with shimmer. The formula on this one was gummy and fluffy and just a big pain in the ass.

Run, Run Rudolph is a bright cheery red with red flake glitter. Standard holiday red but the flake glitter makes it seem different. The only problem is that the glitter disappears on the nail because it's the same color as the polish. I think a golden flake or a deeper red flake would have made a huge difference.

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree is a black jelly with green and red multi-shaped glitter. Awful formula - thick and gummy and just weird. The glitter doesn't pack the punch I thought it would. I can get a better look using a red and green glitter over black.

A Rhyming Dictionary Kaliko

Kaliko is a mix of black, white, silver and blue shard glitter. It's really well made and a bit of a twist on other black and white glitters. I like the little blue pieces. A Rhyming Dictionary creates her polish with the Oz books as inspiration - I love that!

I bought this from A Rhyming Dictionary on Etsy.

GlitterDaze Daddy's Girl

I was digging around in my Alex and realized that I have a few mini bottles of polish that I seemed to have forgotten I owned. I get distracted by new bottles and some bottles get pushed to the back of my brain and GlitterDaze Daddy's Girl is one of those mini bottles. This isn't something I am normally drawn to and I can't remember my reasoning for buying it but it's oddly sweet and it sparkles in a subtle way. The more I look at it the more I am enjoying it. This is one coat dabbled over Kiko 319.

I bought this from GlitterDaze on Etsy though I don't see this one in her shop. GlitterDaze has a blog and a new shop

CrowsToes Bone Daddy

Another new color from CrowsToes. Bone Daddy has a grey jelly base with multi-shaped white glitter with violet opalescent glitter. So cool! I am wearing this over two coats of OPI My Pointe Exactly.
