Nfu-Oh 563 and Rescue Beauty Lounge Orbis Non Sufficit

Nfu-Oh 563 is a dusty army green creme. Great color and the formula is good. I find it is the jelly polishes that give me problems. I put it on and it reminded me of RBL Orbis Non Sufficit so I compared them.

Here they are in the bottle under the Ott light.

On the hand in sun. RBL is on the ring finger - third from the left.

You can see that the Nfu-Oh is a bit lighter and yellow based. The RBL is darker with more grey and slightly cooler in color. In the house I can't see much of a difference and in the sun there is a bigger difference. They aren't dupes but if you like those dusty/murky colors Nfu-Oh 563 is a good choice.

Misa Bare Necessities

I love Misa and have a large collection of their colors. I saw the Misa Bare Necessities collection on Head2Toe and was curious (which always gets me in trouble!) and since I hadn't heard anything about it I ordered them. See? Trouble!

The collection consists of three sheer colors Love (red), Bliss (coral) and Truth (white). I ordered Love and Bliss but not Truth since I have no use for a white. Well, they should have labeled these as tints. They remind me of those Tinkerbell polishes for kids. They make my nails look like they have been dipped in jello. I have no idea what I am going to do with them. They were hard to work with and didn't go on evenly. I needed five coats to get an even color on the nail and the formula didn't seem to layer well. I suppose, since these are tints, too many layers is a no no.

I played with them and did a colorful french manicure. Eh. These just aren't for me but if you are looking for a polish that is a tint - these are perfect. Just don't do too many layers.

Bottle with Love on the left and Bliss on the right.

On the hand and from left to right - Bliss, Bliss with a colored tip, Love with a colored tip and Love. Bliss was really a sheer tint. It gave my nail a naked polished look - kind of like foundation for the nail. Love gives the nail a fruit punch look to the nail.

That is as naked as you will ever see my nails.

Finger Paints Limited Edition Glitters

Finger Paints has released two limited edition glitters that are in the nature of the OPI Alice In Wonderland glitters. I snagged these at Sally while I was there and I thought I would compare them to OPI. These were included in the buy 2 get 1 free sale that is going on until the end of April.

Finger Paints Sapphire Shimmer is in a sheer blue base with little holo flecks and glitter. It reminds me of China Glaze Atlantis but not as blingy. Finger Paints Wicked Glitter is a bit more pink where the OPI is more purple/silver. Wicked Glitter dried smooth and Sapphire Shimmer's base is sheer so I suggest using a base color. If you love the OPI Alice glitters and want something like them - get these. If you missed the OPI Alice glitters these may fill that craving for them.

Picture heavy and I suggest clicking for a larger photo. These were taken under my Ott light but they are color accurate.

On to the pics!

Again, not twins but siblings. And pretty awesome!

Brucci Black Emerald

This one is in my top twenty. The formula is wonderful, it wears really well and the color is stunning!

Brucci Black Emerald is a deep emerald green in a black base that flashes red/gold. It reminds me of autumn and the way the leaves change colors. You tend to see the duochrome in lower lights which is nice. Also, it's not frosty like some duochromes can be - it's just shimmery.

OPI Over the Taupe and Dazzle Me

I love taupes and any of those mushroom/grungy colors. I wanted a comfort color so I pulled out OPI Over the Taupe and added OPI Dazzle Me over it. It didn't come out how it looked in my head but I like it.

The last few posts I have used my new camera. Woo Baby! The macro on this thing is really good. I love that and also hate it. It makes every little flaw stand out. Eek!

These were taken under my Ott light. It's been raining today. Remember to click for a larger pic.

Bling! - OPI Paris Couture For Sure

First, OPI Paris Couture For Sure is discontinued. I'm leary of showing discontinued polish because I feel bad when I show something that can't be had easily. On the other hand, I want to show polish that I love and even hate. I decided to go ahead and show this one.

Holo bling goodness. OPI Paris Couture For Sure is a smooth holo glitter. I like to stare at my nails when I wear this - sort of like a ferret. I was wearing Zoya Dovima but it started to chip and I just slapped this over the Zoya. The lazy way to do a new manicure.

You can see some wear, sorry!

Smackdown: Illamasqua Boosh vs Milani Black Magic

I love a good glossy black. It's sexy and classic. Having a good black is, to me, like having a good red. Everyone needs one of each. I've heard rave upon rave about Illamasqua Boosh so because of my love of black I bought it. Even though my cheap self winced at the price.

I also returned it. Not that it was bad because it wasn't. It was creamy and smooth with a very high shine even without a top coat. But I compared it to Milani Black Magic, which is my go to black, and didn't see a difference. Check it out. I'm not wearing a top coat here.

Can you tell which is which? Black Magic is on the left and Boosh is on the right. I'll stick with Milani.

Widow's Weeds

Did you ever have a manicure that you loved? I mean really just loved and was reluctant to take it off? This is one of those manicures for me.

BB Couture Opposites Attract with Revlon Street Wear Black Widow. I thought it would be depressing but it's actually pretty and subtle. Of course the BB Couture went on like a dream. I think this will be the next brand I order more from.

I really do love this one.

Zoya Spam

Some swatches to help out with the polish exchange Zoya is doing. These are some of my favorites. Along with Glamsicles.

Zoya Sparkles

I already posted Nidhi and Gilda but wanted to show the others.

Zoya Alegra. A suprise to me because I love it! Sparkly and bright and just a happy color.

Zoya Mimi. A sparkly purple! Yes, please. This is going to look amazing layered over another purple. First photo is color corrected. Picture it more as a grape and not a blue purple.

Zoya Charla. Like wearing mermaid scales.

In the shade because even in the shade this polish shines.

Zoya Ivanka. I thought I would truly love this one but I don't. I like it but I don't love it. It didn't come out like it looked in my head or even how it looks in the bottle. It reminds me of that grass you put in Easter baskets. It has some amazing depth in the bottle but not so much on the nails. I may layer it over something to see what I get.
