Revlon Street Wear Silver Locket

Another oldie from the Revlon Street Wear line. They had some cool stuff. This has round large glitter/flake pieces that are a combination of blue, green, copper and gold. The only modern polish that is close to this that I can think of is Hard Candy Break Up but it (from memory) doesn't have the blue/green aspect.

This needs thinner. Badly. Please pardon the tip wear!

Revlon Street Wear Time Machine

First a question/request. Does anyone have access to a bottle of Magnetic Freakin Violet? Would you like to swap or sell it to me? Pretty please?

Another discontinued and hard to find polish. I feel slightly bad showing a polish that is hard to find but you may get lucky and polish is meant to be worn. Time Machine is a peridot green glitter with hints of gold. If you are looking for something kind of like Time Machine you may want to check out Nubar Meadow Sparkle.

I am wearing two coats alone. It has a delicate quality and the glitter reminds me of fine sandy sugar.

In the sun.

Don't forget about the giveaway!

Revlon Street Wear in Confetti

Another white whale that is now mine! MINE! Mwahaha! I found this at a garage sale last week and I honestly thought I wouldn't own it again. It's a great piece of my nail polish history. Ah, memories!

Revlon Street Wear Prism

Prism is the perfect name. It's packed with round silver holo glitter. It's a disco ball on the nails. This is over a silver foil that may have been Zoya Trixie but I can't remember.

Models Own Nude Beige

Nude Beige makes my fingers look elegant and long. Love that and the formula was really nice too. *ahem* If anyone in the UK wants to arrange for a swap so I can get my hands on some more Models Own polishes I wouldn't be opposed. Like, oh say, the Car Key collection.

This happened a bit later in the day. It's on my right hand (which you all rarely see) and I refuse to cut the rest. A cabinet door attacked me. It was awful and I am lucky to walk away alive!

I decided to add glitter so I put Revlon Street Wear Nightmare over it.

Revlon Street Wear Moody

This is another Street Wear that has two version. One is sheer with a blue flash and there is this one. It's a lovely teal with very subtle shimmer. Mm, so pretty.

You can see the shimmer here.

I got my clear stamper in the mail which makes a difference when stamping with red shades. I had a hard time seeing the image on the regular pink one. I played with it and used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Speedy Sunburst and Konad stamp S6. I would love to see a double stamp that is clear since I prefer the smaller size on that one.

Revlon Street Wear FX Green and a Sorta Kinda Dupe

Revlon Street Wear FX in green is in my top 20. I don't wear it often because to replace it I would have to pay a small fortune. It is unique and I have yet to come across a dupe but when messing around in my stash I came across Sinful Agaci and decided to compare them.

Street Wear FX in green.

Sinful Agaci. You can get this polish at Cherry Culture. Now it is not an exact dupe but a cousin. It's a great glitter in of itself and if you can't get your hands on FX this may help with that craving.

Street Wear - The Two Toads

Revlon Street Wear had this weird habit of having two different colors but both having the same name. They even have the same number on the cap. An example of that is Toad. One is an olive green and the other is a yellow based green. I think they should have named the lighter version Tree Frog.

Bottle shot.

The darker Toad.

The lighter Toad.

P.S. Don't forget about the giveaway!

Uncommon Beauty - Revlon Street Wear

My paternal Grandmother had a way of talking about someone that made you stop and wonder if she was complimenting them or insulting them. 9 times out of 10 she was insulting them. My favorite was when she called someone an uncommon beauty when she really meant they were ugly. Granny wasn't the kindest person but she always had cookies when I went to visit her. Cookies make up for a lot of negatives in my book.

I remember buying Street Wear polish when it first came out. In fact I still have two of the bottles I bought years ago. They had some amazing colors and some amazingly ugly colors. Revlon was a trailblazer with this line.

I'm showing you three that I like and that I find to be a bit more unattractive than most. There is a reason I am showing these three which I will post about next. Remember to click for a larger photo.

Taxi is a yellow that leans more toward the marigold family. It has slight golden shimmer and is the only yellow that I love and actually enjoy wearing. It takes about four coats to get it even but it's worth it.

Burnt reminds me of butterscotch pudding. It's smooth and only needs two coats. It dries with this amazing shine.

Grass Stain is a grass green with a golden/green shimmer. I love greens and this one is a favorite of mine.

Some uncommon beauty.
