Orly High on Hope

This manicure shows some wear because I applied my basecoat as cuticle oil by mistake. I keep my oil mix in a China Glaze bottle and it was sitting next to my China Glaze Fast Forward and I wasn't paying attention. Ew, crusty cuticles.

High on Hope is a really gorgeous polish. It's as if you mixed a little bit of Orly Space Cadet with OPI Ink and got this polish. The below is three coats with topcoat. It's a beautiful polish and my photos just don't do it justice.

Here it is in the shade and partial sun. You can see the color flash here.

CrowsToes Asterope

I wasn't quite ready to remove Misa Bourbon on the Rocks so I layered one coat of CrowsToes Asterope over it. It's the perfect base for Asterope in my opinion. This polish flashes berry red, burgundy, brown/bronze and a golden yellow. It also has shimmer. There are lots of photos because I wanted to show all aspects of this polish. It's a beautiful polish.

Here you can see the shimmer.

Here is a good photo of the duochrome quality.

Here are a few more!

CrowsToes Celaeno

Don't forget about the giveaway!

I lost my internet connection and it was out from early Friday morning until early Tuesday morning. Annoying though this is the first time in years that my internet connection was lost so I can't complain too much. It was still annoying! I love the internet.

Here is CrowsToes Celaeno from the new Pleiades Collection. The entire collection is made up of beautiful duochromes. I love duochromes and I was happy to see that these were not holo which is my preference. I had no issue with the formula but a bit of thinner may be needed. My black base was a mess so any lumps or bumps are from that and not Celaeno. I think next time I'm going to wear a less harsh base - maybe a brown or dark grey or green.

Celaeno has copper/bronze/olive/yellow tones but the best part is the copper twinkle light sparkles. They are the same type of sparkles that Clarins 230, OPI Movin' Out and La Boheme has and I love it! It really gives it more depth and life. The entire collection is gorgeous!

Lots of photos and I tried to show the color shift but this polish is much better in reality.

CrowsToes A Christmas Crow

Happy New Year! I wore this polish twice while on hiatus because I love it that much. It's dark and shiny and sparkly and a duochrome - a win all around. This is one coat over a brown creme. There are a lot of photos because this polish deserves tons of them.

Jessica Cosmetics Glitterati

Glitterati is the other polish that I bought from the Glamourama collection from Jessica Cosmetics. The other colors are red based and as much as I love red I was more interested in the glitters. Glitterati is a brown/bronze glitter with a orange/red and green color shift. It is much like a standard flake polish but in glitter form. It has the same formula as Platinum Wishes. The glitter is fine and works really well for layering.

Here is one coat over OPI You Don't Know Jacques Suede.

One coat over black.

Jessica Cosmetics Platinum Wishes

When I first saw the bottle of Platinum Wishes I thought it was going to be a glitter bomb. It looks very dense in the bottle but it actually goes on very fine. I don't think there is anyway you could get this opaque so it is a layering glitter for sure. It is full of micro glitter in shades of blue and green and orange/copper and it has a subtle duochrome aspect. It reminds me of the Ozotic Elytra glitters but without the strong color flip.

I think this would be perfect for someone who prefers a subtle glitter. Or maybe someone who is new to glitter. It was very easy to remove which was nice. I bought this from Ebay but Ninjapolish has it for sale as well.

This is one coat over Diamond Cosmetics Once in a Blue Moon.

Here it is over black.
