I Go Nude!

I really like interesting nude type colors. I sometimes grab them when I want to wear something but I don't know what. They can be like that little black dress. Here are a few of my favorite polishes that I put in the nude category.

I ran across the display for both of the new limited edition Liquid Metal collections from Milani at CVS. They are both called Liquid Metal but one has brighter colors and one has more metallic colors. Here are the names and color descriptions of the colors I did not buy. If you Google search you can find display photos.

Melt With U - Red orange
Metal Gear - Copper
My Network - Champagne gold
I'm Online - Rose gold
Just Browsing - White
PC Girl - Silver

I had some issues with the formula on all of them. I had to do thin layers and wait a bit before the next layer or I got bald spots. Dry time was a bit slow even with Seche over it. I'm going to have to try another topcoat. Not a perfect formula but the colors make up for it. They are all vibrant in real life, much more vibrant than in the photo. All of these were taken under my Ott but are true to color on my monitor.

2.0 is a charcoal foil with tiny multi-colored sparkles. You don't see the sparkles in the bottle and they are subtle on the nail but they are there.









Hot Metal. My next favorite and one that suprised me. A purple toned pink with purple and pink shimmer/sparkles. This one looks more of a glass flecked look as opposed to metallic or foil. I layered it over black, a purple based pink (China Glaze Nasty) and a dusty dark lilac (China Glaze Spontaneous).

Dot Com is a dark purple with some golden/reddish tones to it. It reminds me of a darker version of Sally Hansen Opulent Cloud. Not an exact match but they both have that same shifting color/undertone quality to them.







Melt in the Sun. A really gorgeous and vibrant gold with sparkles. Kind of like the color of old gold.







Molten Rock is a foil/metallic london blue topaz color. This color, oddly enough, made my hands look longer. Winner!









Melt Down. A hot, hot, hot foil/metallic red.

I bought this collection when I bought the Dream collection. I think they are fun! They all have the same holo glitter (round, bar and traditional glitter) but in a different colored base. I decided to swatch these on a wheel because the only difference is the color base. Well, and it was easier for me.

The colors are:

1. Disco Ball - Silver
2. Techno Beat - Pink
3. Get Funky - Orange
4. Strobe Lights - Gold
5. Disc Jockey - Green
6. Dancing Shoes - Blue

I swatched them over black and alone. Here is the entire wheel. I labeled each nail with a number that matches how I listed them above.

Konad With Magens Bay Blue

Konad With Magens Bay Blue

I don't want to take off Magens Bay Blue from Diamond Cosmetics. I'm just really enjoying the color and it's wearing like iron. I put this on Saturday afternoon and did no touch up before I added the design. Really great wear!

So here is Diamond Cosmetics Magens Bay Blue with China Glaze Passion as the stamp color. I used plate M65. It looks like fabric. Also, the China Glaze Romantique collection is wonderful to use with Konad.

There are pinks I do like and I decided to show you a few. My hands have been really dry lately so ignore all that and look at the colors. Actually pretend I have perfect hands that are long and meant to play the piano.

OPI Love Me Tender. Ok this is more melon but work with me here people.





Orly Gidget. Rocking pink! I like this one because it doesn't have that blue/violet sheen that some bright pinks have to them. I like the blue/violet sheen but sometimes you want a straight up bright pink.





Misa Girl Next Door. This is on the sheer side and a pinker version of Love Me Tender but this has that same golden hue to it. I usually wear a nude base under this color but not this time.





China Glaze Strawberry Fields. So pretty with its glass flecks but looks nothing like a strawberry field.





Zoya Lindsay. It's sparkles - what more could you want? I might try this over Gidget.
