China Glaze OMG and Studs

I like this one. It reminds me of my Punk years. Ah, memories. China Glaze OMG with Orly Iron Butterfly on the ring finger. I added some bar studs as an accent. It kind of looks like teeth.

Nails Inc Duke Street

I had a great swap with Ash-Lilly. One of the polishes was Nails Inc Duke Street. Ooo, so pretty! It's a greyed periwinkle/purple. The formula was so very nice. I really, really love this polish. I also love the Chomp bars she sent. I do have a weakness for UK treats. *sob* Why can't I get these and Curly Wurly bars, Smarties, Cadbury's Caramello, and Coffee Crip bars? WHY??!!

Anyway, on to the polish.

I layered Sally Hansen HD in DVD over it. Pow! Shimmer!

Here is a low light photo to show the pink flash/sparkle in DVD.

Nail Art Foil in African Jade

I placed an order with Dollar Nail Art for some goodies. They have a $25 minimum and that gets you a number of things since everything is a dollar! I order some nail art foil and one was African Jade. I saw it here at Another Bottle of Polish?! and loved the look. Enamel Girl has a great tutorial here so I won't go into that but I will say it is really easy and lots of fun!

Here is African Jade foil over Misa Dirty Sexy Money. Not perfect but I like it.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Girl Flower

I had two coupons and there was a sale so I picked up two of the new Sally Hansen Salon Effects. In case you don't know what they are - Salon Effects are nail polish stickers. I've been playing with nail art foil so I figured these would be just as easy to apply. Well they are but they aren't very adhesive. I noticed some lifting and decided to put a topcoat over them and that seemed to get everything to stay down. My one complaint is the size options. Only two of the sticker sizes fit my nails without any cutting (besided length) and the rest were too big. If you have small nails these may be a pain in the butt to apply. I had to trim the side of some of the stickers to get them to fit which may have caused the lifting.

Overall they are fun but I wouldn't pay full price. I can see these being great for kids or possibly pedicures but for me - I'll stick to stamping. I just can't see myself reaching for these like I do other "nail art" items. Also, wearing these tempt me to pick at my nails which is a habit I broke awhile back and would not like to pick up again.

The pattern looks pixelated up close but looks clear from a distance. This is Girl Flower. I like the pattern and I would love to re-create this with stamping. I do wonder if I could wear a base color with these? Hmm.

It kind of looks like I put wallpaper on my nails.

Diamond Cosmetics Sparkling Sherry

One of my favorite pink polishes. It's deep and foily and not delicate. One coat is all I need but I had some tip wear so I slapped on another coat for photos. Dries fast!
