Diamond Cosmetics 2010 Summer Collection

These were sent to me for review and I don't have any information on a release date.

Diamond Cosmetics is a favorite brand of mine. They make two of my favorite colors - Never So Ever-Green and Don't Teal My Heart Away. I was pretty excited to be able to preview/review the summer collection.

Diamond Cosmetics Summer Beach Blowout Collection is three colors that are a blue, a lilac and a pink that are all cremes. The formula on all of them are great. They were all two coats with a nice shine and good dry time. I can see these becoming thick and needing thinner but right now they are perfect.

Pelican Peak Purple is described as a flirty lilac. I describe it as a dusty lilac along the lines of OPI Do You Lilac it? In fact they are very close but the OPI being a little darker. This is light without being a stark pastel. The first coat went on a bit streaky but the second coat made everything great.

Here is a photo comparing OPI Do You Lilac It?, Pelican Peak Purple, Essie St. Lucia Lilac and Maybelline Goody Plum Drop.

The first photo is as color accurate as I could get it. The bottle photo is really accurate in color.

Here it is in the sun. Picture it a little darker and bit more red toned.

South Beack Pink is a bright pink that has a hint of raspberry. It's not neon and it's not Barbie pink. It's a bright and cheerful dark pink. This one screams pedicure to me. I can see this one looking great on all types of skin colors.

It's close to Jessica Hi Res Raspberry but the Jessica is a bit darker. Here is a bottle photo comparing them. You see the difference on the nail compared to the bottle.

Here is South Beack Pink in the sun. So cheerful!

Here I added GOSH Rainbow to it because I couldn't leave it alone.

Magens Bay Blue is a light blue-based teal. It has a bright and slight dusty feel to it. Now, when I saw this I swore I had a dupe. I don't! The colors I thought would be dupes were either too green, too blue, too dark, too teal or too light. I'm comfortable saying that this is unique to my collection. If you like RBL's 360 or MAC Blue India you will like this one. It has that beachy ocean feel to it. I LOVE this one. It doesn't look like much in the bottle but on the nail it is gorgeous!

For only having three colors I think Diamond Cosmetics did a good job picking some great colors. I would buy Magens Bay Blue for sure! I'm also glad they aren't neon or pastel. WooHoo!
