China Glaze Custom Kicks

Did you ever see a polish that you immediately wanted? This is how I feel about Ulta3 Pacific Fever. I saw it here at Steffels blog and again here at Let Them Have Polish. I feel such lust for this polish. Lust I tell you! So I thought that I would try and dupe it from my stash. Be positive and work with what I have and all that stuff.

I used China Glaze Custom Kicks as the base with one coat of Pure Ice Heart Breaker over that and one coat of Sinful Pearl Harbor over those. I could have stopped with just Heart Breaker but I think it cooled the flames for Pacific Fever a wee bit. Maybe. Sort of. *sigh* Not really.

Catrice Dirty Berry

I like this one because it's not a dark grape purple and has a soft holo effect. Dirty Berry reminds me of a well worn and washed purple cotton tee shirt. It's a comfortable color to wear. Is Dirty Berry slang for something? If not, it should be.

Sally Hansen Forsythia

Such an odd color. Yellow with a tinge of green with subtle silver shimmer woven throughout the polish. I, of course, love it. I chipped the corner of my middle finger. I'm not upset though. Why? Because I chipped it installing a brand new 6,500 BTU air conditioner. That's right! Summer can suck it while I lounge in the blissfully frigid air of my boudoir. *sniff* I'm so happy.

This color kind of matches the color of a tin of Carmex.

Teal glitter with little holo pieces. It's a cousin to China Glaze Atlantis so if you like that one you will like this one. This is one coat over Nubar Stronghold since I like teal and grey together.

LA Girl Glitter Addict Celebrate

LA Girl puts on some nice collections. It's rare that I am let down by them. I'm waiting somewhat patiently for more of the Glitter Addict polishes. Ok, all of them except one. Don't judge! It's Steffels fault anyway. How awesome is that Animate manicure??!! I love her blog.

I thought Celebrate would be a Happy Birthday dupe but it isn't which is a good thing in my opinion. This is one coat over American Apparel MacArthur Park. My Dad's reaction - It looks like Kermit the Frog snot. My Dad - the romantic.
