Essie Maximillian Strasse Her

Essie Maximillian Strasse Her is a sage green with little hints of blue. It's a lovely color and I had no issues with the formula. The below is two coats with topcoat.

Essie Bikini So Teeny

This was the only polish I bought from the Essie 2012 Summer collection. Periwinkle is one of my favorite colors and it's not a color you see very often in nail polish. Bikini So Teeny has a stupid name but the soft delicate periwinkle color is so lovely. It's both muted and vibrant. It's magic! In the bottle it has shimmer but it's non-existent once on the nail so I classify it as a creme. The formula is thin and I needed three coats to get opaque but I didn't have any issues with application.

Any periwinkle polishes that you can suggest? I'd love to hear them! My apologies for the tip wear!

Essie Stroke of Brilliance

Stroke of Brilliance is the latest addition to Essie Luxeffects polishes. I think it's a nice addition! I picked this up on Ebay with some Ebay bucks I had. Free (sort of) nail polish is always a plus. It's an icy cornflower blue in a clear base. I am wearing one thick coat over China Glaze Frosty so any fine shimmer you see is from the base color.

Ott light.

Smackdown: Essie She's Picture Perfect vs Sinful Zeus

A request. They are nothing alike so owning both is okay. I have to say that I am partial to Sinful Zeus. The shimmer is more pronounced compared to Essie She's Picture Perfect

Essie 2012 Resort Collection

Don't forget about the raffle!

I like that Essie puts out mini bottles and that they don't suck. I like all of these colors but No More Film is my favorite! I bought a full bottle because that is how much I like it. I bought this collection offline but they are available at Transdesign for well below retail. I had no issues with the formula on any of them and it's a nice little collection.

Pink-A-Boo is a pale pink with green shimmer. This reminds me very much of Jessica Rolling Rose but the shimmer is more pronounced and it's a bit more sheer. If you had your eye on Rolling Rose but can't get it I suggest Pink-A-Boo. Next time I'll wear it over something.

She's Picture Perfect is a grey toned light purple with purple shimmer. It's oddly delicate and grungy all at once. It reminds me of Finger Paints Get Real-ism. If you liked Essie Demure Vixen you will probably like this one.

Sure Shot is a vivid fuschia. It's very bright in the sun and a bit darker in the shade. This will be great with some glitter over it. It's not shy at all!

Here it is in the sun - see how it becomes more vibrant?

No More Film is a deep eggplant purple that borders on being indigo. It's dark but not black looking and is very close to OPI Sapphire in the Snow. It has a wonderful formula - creamy and smooth in one coat.

Essie Go Overboard with Red Angel Plate RA-103

I'm really loving Essie Go Overboard. I think this is the fourth time I have worn it since I bought. That says a lot. Also, I am in love with the Red Angel Plates. They have some great designs that aren't overly cute or floral. I am a big fan of abstract designs and this set has a number of them. I'm glad I bought them - they are getting me to stamp again. I seem to go through cycles.

Here is Essie Go Overboard stamped using China Glaze DV8 from a design on plate RA-103. I'm a bit out of practice so any errors are all me and not the plate.

Color Appreciation: Blue Creme Polishes

Hello! I hope that 2012 greeted you in a good way. Laura gave me the idea of doing a color appreciation post and I decided to start with blue. Blue is a close second to green as being a favorite polish color for me and there are a number of different ones that I really like. It will blue all week and I decided to start it off by showing a few blue creme polishes that I enjoy.

Barry M Cyan Blue

Barry M Cobalt Blue

Essie Shelter Island

Models Own Betty Blue

Petites Color Fever Creme Blue

Sally Hansen Pacific Blue

Sally Hansen Gray by Gray - not exactly blue on me but it does have a blue tinge.
