Brucci Sparkling Bordeaux

Did you ever have a craving for something that was so strong you could smell it? I had that craving for marshmallows the other day. I had to have some even though the last time I had a marshmallow I was nine which would be over twenty years ago. So I headed to Rite Aid and bought a bag. They are so gross and yet so good. I think I may make myself sick on them. I did discover that Thom likes them. Odd since I read that cats don't taste sweet but he seems to taste something that he likes. I had to hide them.

I also discovered a newly stocked Brucci display with some new colors. Sparkling Bordeaux was one of them. I can't resist a sparkly red and this one is lovely. A deep wine red with glitter that is on the small scale so it looks like little lights on the nail. This looks like something BB Couture would create. It's very festive and a great formula.

Brucci Sylvia's Pretty in Purple

I'm playing with adding a watermark to photos. Please do let me know if it gets in the way of seeing the polish.

This is a lovely lilac with a slight dusty feel. Great formula. Sometimes I just want a nice creme though I am thinking that it needs glitter or stamping. Brucci does have some odd names. I suspect that if I worked for them I would know who these people are that get their name associated with a polish.

What would your polish name be? I claim "Kristina's Gangrene" so you can't have it!

Brucci Spam

Brucci is a great brand and they have a really nice range of shades and a stellar formula. I thought I would share some of the shades I like with you all.

Alexandra's Hot Gray

Daniella's Curve - a very close dupe to CND's Brigitte.

Mia's Brazenberry

Jimmi's Cognac Gem - this has an almost suede look with micro shimmer.

Chris's Green Belt

iCharlie

Brucci Elizabeth's A Natural

This is in my top 10 for nude shades. It's a mix of grey and taupe with a hint of lilac. The formula on this is very close to being a one coater. Love this one.

Brucci In The Buff

Have you heard of Muffin? She picks nail polish for her human to wear. I like Muffin Mondays! You can see Muffin (and her human) at Let them have Polish!

I thought it would be fun to let one of my cats pick my polish like Muffin does. I pulled a few bottles out and lined them up on the floor. It didn't go very well. Lloyd decided to carry one away. Thom hit one like it was a hockey puck and it went flying across the room with him after it. Abigail sat on one like it was an egg she was trying to hatch. Alfred just hissed and grumbled. Bella and Sophie never woke up. *sigh* Damn cats ruining my fun.

I (and not the cats) decided on Brucci In The Buff. Ahh, a nice nude that looks good on me. Hmph, take that Grunge! It has a delicate pink shimmer. I don't even mind the visible nail line.

P.S. - Don't forget about the blog sale.

Brucci Black Emerald

This one is in my top twenty. The formula is wonderful, it wears really well and the color is stunning!

Brucci Black Emerald is a deep emerald green in a black base that flashes red/gold. It reminds me of autumn and the way the leaves change colors. You tend to see the duochrome in lower lights which is nice. Also, it's not frosty like some duochromes can be - it's just shimmery.
