Smackdown: Essie Sag Harbor vs China Glaze Sea Spray

I like finding dupes. I have no idea why. You would think I would be annoyed to find I have bought a polish just like one I have already. I just like to think I really like that color. I can do justification really well! I noticed that China Glaze Sea Spray and Essie Sag Harbor were alike. Oo, smackdown!!

I honestly can't see a difference. The formula is pretty much the same as well. They are both on the thick side but not too thick and both only needed two coats. They are each a lovely grey/silvery blue with subtle shimmer. I'm also amused that both are beach/sea/water themed. Sag Harbor may look a bit darker but it isn't. They are pretty spot on to each other.

If you have been wanting Essie Sag Harbor, but haven't been able to get it since it was limited edition, China Glaze Sea Spray may help with your lusting.

Thanks for the comparison. I think they're different enough to justify owning both.

Can I request a ChG Starboard ve Essie Pretty Edgy comparison if you have them both? I am on the verge of buying Starboard.

Awesome. Thanks you for this comparison. Since I have a zillion bottles of polish, I'm now finally trying to be more selective. This really helps! :-)

Rachel, you're good if you see any difference in them, because I don't, not even after enlarging the pictures. :D As I really don't like Essie's brush, Sea Spray is a win for me. Hope to get it soon, I miss my other half of Anchors Away order.

I have them both and I guess there is really no need for that. But, it is a nice color! :D

Thank you for comparsion. I have only Essie :)

I have the Essie, love Essie's formula, so I think Anchor's Away has slipped off the lemming list.
I've got tons of top coats, so off w/the White Cap.
And the Chanelesque dupe looks like a franken gone horribly wrong.

Thanks for the comp!!

Thank you so much for this comparison. I have Sea Spray but I was looking for Sag Harbor for more than a year. Now I don't need it any more:)
Big hugs from Holland!!

So that's why it's off the shelves in many of the e-stores!? I do like this and I'm glad I have it. :)

Absolutely identical! Thank you. I found I had Sea Spray, so will stop 'needing' Sag Harbor!
