Sally Hansen Lilac Aqua - The Poor Man's Clarins 230

Ah, Sally Hansen! Why do you stop making such great polishes?! WHY?!

Sally Hansen Aqua Lilac from the Nail Prisms line is an amazing polish that has little twinkle light sparkles and flashes gold, green and blue. It's not a dupe so that is what I am calling this the poor man's Clarins 230. I don't own Clarins 230 so I can't compare but going by photos it shares the flashing color and twinkle aspect. It could be a cousin. Now if someone would like to send me a decant of Clarins 230 for purely scientific purposes - I wouldn't say no. HaHa!

I layered Lilac Aqua over China Glaze Grape Pop and it's love. I am showing lots of photos because I can't help it! It's just that awesome!

This is gorg! Is it new??

No. I'm afraid this is an old and now discontinued color. They show up at dollar stores sometimes.

That looks absolutely fantastic!! About the 230, I guess I have no bottles left to send you, lol. I wish! =)

AmyGrace - eh! I'm not really lusting after 230 for some odd reason. It may be the going price that is keeping me from wanting it so badly. Plus there are a ton of other polishes that I want!

I bought mine a few days ago and I have clarins, I can let you know when I get sh by post. But to me it seems pretty similar to opi moving out from your photos.

It's a great possession. I have a totally similar polish from an obscure and defunct danish brand, bought 8 years ago. I rarely dare using it because I'm halfway the end of the bottle. I wonder why this iridescent rainbow pigment is no longer used in polishes nowadays. It seemed to be used by the end of the 90's/beginning of the 00's (my guess) and now it looks like it's gone for good. I have no idea why.

If you ever see it at a dollar store, please let me know. =)

Kris, which line of SH was this from?

LB January 10, 2011 at 2:08 PM

This is from the Nail Prisms line. The line that had some great polishes. Damn you Sally Hansen!!

Whoa *jaw drop* that's a beautiful effect. I didn't even know there was a poor man version of 230. Gotta be on the lookout for this one at the dollar stores!

It's not know as the poor mans Clarins 230. I just made that up! HaHa! It really is gorgeous.

My gosh! This is just... *speechless*. What does it look like on its own? It would be amazing if it came with the purple base! Gosh I must try to track this one down at the markets, usually you can only find a couple of Nail Prism shades over and over again.

Kris, okay it was thanks to you that I HAD to go find this polsh. I own so many Prisms, but never heard of this one. Well thankfully I was able to grab it. I'm posting about it tomorrow, and if you don't mind, I blamed you for my purchase, lol, and linked them to your post of it. I say thanks and my wallet *shakes his fist at you*,haha
