Diamond Cosmetics Deep Blue Sea

This is pretty much a dupe for Orly Royal Navy. I do find that the shimmer in Deep Blue Sea is a bit more pronounced and there is no settling at the bottom of the bottle. So no crazy shaking. The formula is a bit thicker and less jelly like compared to Royal Navy.

Gorgeous color. Very vivid and the teal shimmer is not shy.

Diamond Cosmetics Love Letter

A new color (I think) from Diamond Cosmetics and it's lovely. Not totally unique but I am drawn to this taupe/nude shades for some reason. The shimmer woven throughout leans more golden and the formula is really wonderful. If you like MAC Earthly Harmony, Sally Hansen Fedora, Essie Mochacino, Orly Nite Owl and colors like those then you will like this one. And it's only $2.50 which makes it even better!

A deep dark smokey blue. This is what OPI Midnight Blue Glitter would be if it were a solid color. A very alluring color and a great formula. This dries so shiny even without topcoat. It was hard to get a good photo because of the glare.

Dear Diamond Cosmetics,

I love this polish. I love the simple name. I love you! I would love you more if you would make this exact polish in green, blue, black, purple and orange. I would buy them. I would probably buy two bottles of them. I would wear them and love them and take such good care of them. Please, Diamond Cosmetics, would you make this polish in other colors?

I really do love this polish. It's a red hex and round glitter in a clear base. It's a really great dupe, when worn over black, for Deborah Lippmann's Ruby Red Slippers. One coat of Red Chunky Glitter and you get a really nice even layer of glitter. I'm surprised this isn't getting more love.

Wouldn't you like to see other colors? Please leave a comment because I am planning on forwarding this post to them. Nothing like a little begging to get what you want!

One of my favorite pink polishes. It's deep and foily and not delicate. One coat is all I need but I had some tip wear so I slapped on another coat for photos. Dries fast!

Smackdown: Concrete Jungle - Rescue Beauty Lounge vs Diamond Cosmetics

I like a good grey but I can't tell any difference between RBL Concrete Jungle and Diamond Cosmetics Concrete Jungle. None. Both were two coats. Both are a lovely pale shade of blue based grey. Both are a creme. Both have the same name. Well, there is one difference. One is $18 and the other is under $3. I did get some bubbles with RBL and I have no idea why.

I really, really cannot tell them apart. Honest. You may think one is darker but that is shadowing because in real life not one difference in color.

I have to declare Diamond Cosmetics the winner. The formula is just as nice, I didn't get any bubbles and it's way, way cheaper.

Diamond Cosmetics Rubies & Diamonds

Sometimes a polish looks amazing in the bottle and doesn't translate to the nail. This one is amazing in the bottle AND on the nail. So pretty! The photos don't do this justice. It has glass flecks and it shimmers like glass. Yum!

Reader Request: Diamond Cosmetics Never So Evergreen & Zoya Edyta

I got a request from peripatetic33 to compare Diamond Cosmetics Never So Evergreen and Zoya Edyta. Two polishes I really like and Never So Evergreen is a real favorite of mine. This post is a bit pic heavy but who doesn't enjoy looking at photos of polish?!

Diamond Cosmetics Never So Evergreen. This is a golden olive green with shimmer. It doesn't scream shimmer and it has a slight murky feel. I love this one and will cry if they ever discontinue it.









Zoya Edyta is a blue based green with a foily shimmery finish. Love this one too.









Here they are together. I found that Edyta is a bit darker and a little more shimmery. Never So Evergreen is a little more golden and olive. Will the common folk notice a difference? Probably not. Will a nail polish lover? Yes.

Diamond Cosmetics Fall 2010 Collection Swatches

Diamond Cosmetics has five new shades for fall. Yay! More cremes for fall. Though I have to say the mix is a bit odd. Classic Pink seems like the odd man out in this bunch of darker colors. I would have loved to see a bronze creme. My picks are Sunset in Sedona and Under the Willow Tree. All are two coats except for Classic Pink which was three, which is not bad for such a soft color.

Classic Pink is a delicate pink. I'm not a huge pink fan and I wouldn't buy this one but I can see reaching for this to use as a base or when I need something quick for a polished look. Kind of reminds me of Essie Ballet Slippers with a better formula.







Private School girl is a gorgeous creme red that is on the neutral/warm side. I sound like a broken record but if you don't have a red creme - get one. This is a good pick if you aren't sure about red.







It's Nothing to Wine About is a dark wine with a jelly finish. Not the most unique color but there is something really sexy about a wine jelly polish. It doesn't look as patchy in real life but it looks like jello on the nails.







Sunset in Sedona is a warm russet orange or a burnt sienna. Love this one and it reminds me of fall leaves.







Under the Willow Tree is a dark blue based forest green. Very pretty and vampy. It has a nice mix of teal and green to make it interesting and slightly different from the other vampy greens out there. Along the lines of a dark blue moss cypress.







One of the great things about Diamond Cosmetics is the price. You can buy some new colors you want to try or experiment with and you don't break the bank.
