LeChat Carnaval Collection

Enter the giveaway!

I figured I would show the remaining three polishes from the Carnaval collection from LeChat. I showed Brazilian Muse, Queen of Drums and Trios Electricos. I think my pick of the group is Trios Electricos with 40 Days in Rio coming in second.

40 Days in Rio is a vibrant magenta. This is a bit deeper and much more vivid in reality as opposed to these photos. I tried correcting it in PhotoShop but I couldn't get it right so imagine it better and brighter. The base is tinted so this could be worn alone at three coats. I am wearing one coat over a magenta shimmer/foil.

Goddess of Samba is a red glitter in a slightly tinted base. It's the red version of 40 Days in Rio. This is one coat over a red creme.

Electric Masquerade is a red, blue, green and gold/yellow glitter with some silver in there as well. This is one coat over a blue creme.

LeChat Queen of Drums

Have you entered the giveaway?!

Queen of Drums is a gold glitter in a clear base. Nothing extraordinary and I have no clue why I bought it since I have a number of gold glitter polishes but it is pretty. I am predictable in that I always want to pair gold with red/plum creme polishes and that's what I did here.

This is China Glaze VII with one coat of Queen of Drums.

I decided to wear it with green next and just apply Queen of Drums along the base of the nail. I like it! This is China Glaze Tree Hugger.

LeChat Trios Electricos

Don't forget to check out the giveaway!

Another one from the Carnaval collection from LeChat. Trios Electricos is a blue glitter for of sparkle. This is one coat over a blue creme. This made my fingers look long and elegant which is a very good thing for me since my fingers are not long nor elegant.

I noticed that this collection is available from TransDesign.

LeChat Brazilian Muse

Giveaway!!

Brazilian Muse is from the Carnaval collection from LeChat. It's a multi-shaped snow globe type glitter. Very pretty and wintery in feel. I found this collection at a little local place and it's full of glittery goodness. I'll be showing them in the next few posts.

My hands are so dry lately so pardon the grease/shine around the cuticle area. My skin is just drinking up moisture.

LeChat Dare To Wear Disco Ball

Disco Ball is from the Disco Tech collection and it's full of glitter and sparkle! This is one coat of Disco Ball over Butter London Yummy Mummy. You can purchase LeChat from Head2Toe and I hope they expand the selection.

LeChat Dare To Wear Glammed Up

This polish is beautiful. It's very sparkly and happy and it looks like I dipped my fingers in really fine shattered copper glass. The formula is a bit thin but it builds up well with three coats. I wore one coat over Orly Glam Rock because it's a pretty close match base color wise. It's the copper version of Orly Glitz and Glamour so if you like the shimmer of Glitz and Glamour and the color of Glam Rock you will really like Glammed Up. Personally, I love it!

I got this at Head2Toe.

LeChat Dare To Wear Disco Tech Collection

Photo heavy and remember to click for a larger photo.

I bought this collection when I bought the Dream collection. I think they are fun! They all have the same holo glitter (round, bar and traditional glitter) but in a different colored base. I decided to swatch these on a wheel because the only difference is the color base. Well, and it was easier for me.

The colors are:

1. Disco Ball - Silver
2. Techno Beat - Pink
3. Get Funky - Orange
4. Strobe Lights - Gold
5. Disc Jockey - Green
6. Dancing Shoes - Blue

I swatched them over black and alone. Here is the entire wheel. I labeled each nail with a number that matches how I listed them above.

Over black.

Alone.

Close up of them over black.

Close up of them not layered.

Here they are with flash.

P.S. Don't forget about the giveaway!

LeChat Dare to Wear Dream Collection

I've been wanting the Disco Tech collection from Dare to Wear for awhile. I love a good and interesting glitter. I went to LeChat's website and asked about buying from them directly but they don't sell to non-pro folks. They did give me a list of stores in my area that sold LeChat but they sell nail art supplies and not the polish. While looking around on their site my curiousity was peaked about the Dream collection.

I love a hunt so I did find both collections!

The Dream collection was described as metallic shimmer on the website. When I got it I was suprised to see that it had holo glitter in a soft metallic base. Ooo!

The formula was nice and they dried pretty fast too. I found three coats was perfect. Pirouette and Kiss the Rain have this really pretty flash to them. Pirouette's flash is a soft, soft green and Kiss the Rain's is a light purple. It's not a strong traditional duochrome but it's there and makes things interesting. They aren't a strong metallic - they are sort of a cross between a frost and a metallic without the brush strokes.

Here they are in the bottle all lined up! Left to right they are First Love, Forever in Love, Silhouette, Pirouette, Kiss the Rain and Love Potion. You can see the color flash here especially when you click for a larger photo.

First Love is a light pink with a very light holo sparkle effect. It's a soft color all around.

Forever in Love is a darker pink with the same soft holo effect as First Love.

Silhouette is a soft lilac/grey and the holo glitter is a bit stronger in this one. This suprised me on how much I liked it.

Pirouette is a rosy/brown nude color. It has an interesting flash of subtle green. A nude with some omph.

Kiss the Rain was the one I knew I wasn't going to like but it's my favorite! I'm usually not a huge fan of soft colors but this one reminded me of robots for some reason. I like robots. It's unique to my collection.

Here you can see the subtle flash. It tends to show in low light better.

Love Potion is a berrish purple with strong holo glitter. Kind of a light vamp with holo. I only needed two coats for this one but did three anyway.
