Catrice Forget Me Not

Don't forget about the Essie Luxeffects giveaway!

Ugh! This is such a beautiful, beautiful nail polish. It's vibrant and lush and it glows. If you have the chance to get this polish - do it! Forget Me Not is one of my favorite purple polishes.

Catrice I Wear My Sunglasses At Night

This was a tricky polish to photograph. I had to blur it a bit to show the multi-colored sparkles. This reminds me of Dark Knight but much more subtle and demure. Wonderful formula but I have learned to expect that from Catrice. This polish really sparkles in the sunlight.

Catrice Welcome to the Jungle

Welcome to the Jungle is an olive green with very subtle shimmer. It's green which always makes me happy.

Catrice Amazonian Gold

Amazonian Gold is from the LE Papagena collection. It's soft and delicate and makes my nails and fingers look long and dainty. In reality they are the opposite of that and are short and stubby. It has subtle shimmer and went on like a dream. It's a buttery gold and seems to flatter my pale skin.

I got this in a swap since Catrice is not available in the US. Boo!

Catrice Dirty Berry

I like this one because it's not a dark grape purple and has a soft holo effect. Dirty Berry reminds me of a well worn and washed purple cotton tee shirt. It's a comfortable color to wear. Is Dirty Berry slang for something? If not, it should be.

My apologies for the tipwear.

The Color of Grey

Vedra requested some grey comparisons and I started doing that and added a few. I didn't do a true comparison but just some swatching. I figured you all can get a feel for how they look from the photos.

I love grey. It can be elegant or edgy. It's also neutral and can go with pretty much anything. I have a number of grey polishes in a vast range. Grey can be dark and smokey to pale and vibrant. Grey has a variety that black just can't have. I'm drawn to grey they way I am to green.

Here are a few from my stash that were requested and a few I threw in for fun.

American Apparel Factory Grey. A grey with an undertone of purple to it. It reminds me more of a purple/taupe/grey as opposed to a classic grey.

Pure Ice Kiss Me Here. Your basic grey creme. Identical to my eye to China Glaze Recycle.

Barielle Shades U-Concrete-Me. The shade of wet concrete. A very nice grey that is a bit darker than Kiss Me Here and Recycle.

Catrice London's Weather Forecast. Mid tone blue grey with shimmer. Yum! Formula is a bit thick but I so love the Catrice polishes that I have. I need more!!

Zoya Kelly. Love this one. It's a smokey dark grey with a strong purple undertone. Possibly morbid but it reminds me of a healing bruise.

Nubar Marble Tower. I think Nubar's Fortress collection is a really nice collection of grey shades and I highly recommend it. This one is a pale white grey that is a little stark but still kind of funky.

BB Couture Opposites Attract. This has subtle sparkles and is one of my favorite grey polishes. That little hint of black sparkle tickles me.

China Glaze Recycle. A classic grey creme. I think this is a must for everyone.

Catrice Sold Out For Ever

I didn't fall into the Chanel Jade craze mostly because I am cheap not because I didn't think the color was lovely. I was able to swap for Catrice Sold Out For Ever and I'm so glad! I love this jade green with its secret shimmer.

Isn't she pretty?!

See the shimmer?

Of course I couldn't leave well enough alone so I added Sinful Pearl Harbor which is clear with little blue and gold flakes. In fact the flakes remind me very much of the flakes in Chanel Illusion D'Or except smaller.
