Ooh La Lacquer I'm A Matte 4 U

I was browsing Etsy and came across Ooh La Lacquer and the matte glitters. I really like matte glitters so I went for it because I seem to be easily swayed. Plus, the price is really nice at only $5 a bottle. They are very well made. I had no issue with the polish being thick or gooey which is sometimes an issue with these matte micro-glitter polishes. I also had great glitter payoff with just one coat. I'm very, very pleased.

I'm A Matte 4 U is a combination of blue and pink matte glitter. This is one coat of over Essie Bond With Whomever.

An extreme close up. It's sweet looking isn't it? Like candy.

CrowsToes Um, No...He Went To The Pawn Shop

I love this polish. LOVE! I seriously thought about buying a back up bottle and it's very, very rare that I do that. It has an interesting vintage feel to it and looks really great over a number of different base colors and it can be built up to worn alone. Love this one!

I bought this at llarowe. This is one coat over a blue that I can't remember with one coat of topcoat.

Here it is with indoor light. Doesn't it have a vintage feel?

Rainbow Polish Sky Walker

Sky Walker is from the Star Set 2 collection that is inspired by Star Wars from Rainbow Polish. I saw it available and bought it happily because I have the first set and enjoy it. Wonderful formula and great glitter payoff without any work.

This is one coat of Sky Walker over CND Miss Wu with one coat of topcoat.

CrowsToes Heartshaped Box of Horse *!@#!

I love CrowsToes. I'm always excited when I see a new collection released. When the ValenCrows collection was available from llarowe I bought them right quick. She does glitter extremely well plus I enjoy her as a person. This is a glitter packed polish with brown, copper.gold and red glitter. The best part is that there are different shaped glitter which includes square. I love square glitter! I want more square glitter. I'm very happy with this polish.

This is one coat of Heartshaped Box of Horse *!@#! over a pearly white that I made myself. One coat of topcoat over everything.

Rainbow Polish Dark Side

Rainbow Polish Dark Side is part of the Star Wars inspired collection of polishes. My brother and I would speculate what Darth Vader looked like under that helmet and when he was finally revealed we were so disappointed. He looked like an egg. The hope was strong with us that he would look like a reptile of some sort but he looked like Humpty Dumpty.

This is one coat over Zoya Trixie with one coat of topcoat.

Extreme close up.

Hit Polish Funfetti

Hit Polish Funfetti can be found on etsy.

Hit Polish is one of my favorite indie brands. I am finding myself buying from a select few brands because I know I am going to enjoy them and that they are going to be well made. I do venture into new brands but I always check out some of my favorites to see if there is anything new. Funfetti is full of all sorts of different glitters and each batch will be different because of the glitter used. It's really well made and goes on like a dream for such a glitter packed polish.

This is one coat of Funfetti over Orly Country Club Khaki with one coat of topcoat.

Hit Polish Balkan Green

Hit Polish Balkan Green can be found on etsy.

I really like this polish. It surprisingly looks good over various colors - green, orange, blue and white - but I decided to wear it (this time) over Nubar Barricade. It has blue, green and yellow matte jelly glitter. I enjoy just looking at it while I am wearing it. Really wonderful formula too. The below is one coat over Barricade with one coat of topcoat.

The little bits of cat hair on my ring finger are on there until I take it off. It seems to have gotten trapped under the topcoat. Damn cats. It's also a bit cold here today which makes me want to find some cool fingerless gloves.

HARE Polish Reverie in Rubellite

HARE Polish can be found on Etsy and at llarowe.

Reverie in Rubellite is a polish that looks great in the below photos but in "normal" light and life it looks like an ordinary golden red glitter. The burgundy/berry base doesn't really show nor do the little violet sparks that I can see hints of on the nail. It also looks heavy as opposed to smooth and sleek even though it is smooth to the touch. The formula is a little gooey and I had to dab on each coat and wait a bit before applying the next to avoid dragging/pooling. This is what I call a show polish in that it looks best in bright light but I have found that most HARE polishes are best in bright light or layered over another polish.

I'm a little sad to discover that I am not a huge fan of HARE Polish. After playing with a number of polishes from HARE they seem to fall short in some way or another for me. Sad because I have a number of them and they look amazing in the bottle and in photos but they just don't look that way in reality. Ah well.

The below is three coats with one coat of topcoat. The first photo is in my everyday low light and how I see this polish 90% of the time. The rest are under direct artificial sunlight.

CrowsToes Maxxed Out

CrowsToes Maxxed Out can be purchased at llarowe.

I love this polish. Love, love, love! It's gold and blingy and bright and a bit garish and I love everything about it. I really think that if you are a glitter lover you should seriously think about owning this one. This is one coat over OPI My Very First Knockwurst.

A close up showing detail.

A few more photos.

HARE Polish King of Carat Flowers

King of Carat Flowers can be purchased through HARE Polish at etsy and llarowe.

This is such an ethereal polish. I do think that most HARE polishes tend to look best layered over a coordinating base color. I think wearing them layered allows all the glitter and complexity of the polish to really shine. The below is two/three coats with one coat of topcoat. I'm really enjoying wearing this one.

CrowsToes Celaeno

Don't forget about the giveaway!

I lost my internet connection and it was out from early Friday morning until early Tuesday morning. Annoying though this is the first time in years that my internet connection was lost so I can't complain too much. It was still annoying! I love the internet.

Here is CrowsToes Celaeno from the new Pleiades Collection. The entire collection is made up of beautiful duochromes. I love duochromes and I was happy to see that these were not holo which is my preference. I had no issue with the formula but a bit of thinner may be needed. My black base was a mess so any lumps or bumps are from that and not Celaeno. I think next time I'm going to wear a less harsh base - maybe a brown or dark grey or green.

Celaeno has copper/bronze/olive/yellow tones but the best part is the copper twinkle light sparkles. They are the same type of sparkles that Clarins 230, OPI Movin' Out and La Boheme has and I love it! It really gives it more depth and life. The entire collection is gorgeous!

Lots of photos and I tried to show the color shift but this polish is much better in reality.
