Joe Fresh Peacock

Such a cute little bottle! The color is gorgeous! A blue/green with a purple flash to it that I could not photograph. You can see it in the bottle photo. Formula was nice but I am not a fan of the brush. It's large and soft so it was a bit hard to work with. Worth it for the color though.

The bottle where you can see all the lovely colors.

On the nail.

Reader Request: Mossy Britches vs. Peace on Earth

As requested, a comparison of Nina Ultra Pro Mossy Britches and China Glaze Peace on Earth. Left is Mossy Britches and right is Peace on Earth. They are very, very close and it looks like Mossy Britches is a smidge darker and a bit more golden. I thought Peace on Earth was darker but I was wrong. Of course, the average person won't see a difference.

Top is Peace on Earth and bottom is Mossy Britches.

Nars Mash and Some Comparing

Mm, Nars Mash. A murky golden olive with shimmer. I love it.

If you click this photo you can see the shimmer.

But does it have a dupe? I pulled out China Glaze Peace on Earth, Nina Ultra Pro Mossy Britches and OPI At Your Quebec and Call. No dupe. Nars Mash has a darker base and the others have a more pronounced golden look.

Here they are from top to bottom: Peach on Earth, Mash, Mossy Britches, and At Your Quebec and Call.

Finger Paints Winter Dreams 2010 Holiday Collection

I really like Finger Paints. They are inexpensive, have some amazing greens and they tend to put out fun collections. Winter Dreams is their 2010 holiday collection of six colors and all are festive in their own way.

Winter Wishes is a glittery champagne white. It actually reminds me of an antique white and I can really see this on a winter bride or groom. Two coats and it dried a bit dull so a topcoat is needed.

Holly Good Times is a gold and red glitter. I really like this one. It reminds me of fall and harvest mazes. I only need two coats for full coverage and a topcoat will be needed for this one as well. The best part, it was easy to remove.

Mulberry Madness is a raspberry glittery shade. Reminds me of a more vivid Deboarh Lippmann Razzle Dazzle.

Merry Mittens is a golden red with gold glitter. I had to thin this one and it still went on a bit gummy and thick. A bit more thinner will fix that. This reminds me of OPI Russian to a Party a little bit.

Just Plum Fun is a deep purple with shimmer. Love this one! Not too dark to look black and is very vampy and lush. It's deeper and not glittery compared to Finger Paints Icy Iris.

Mistletoe Mischief is a glittery emerald green. It's lighter than China Glaze Emerald Sparkle and Finger Paints Evergreen Dream. It's a bit thin and needed four coats but the shine! Oo!

I'm suprised that I like the entire collection. Usually there is at least one or two that I feel lukewarm about but I would buy all of them even Winter Wishes. I can see wearing Holly Good Times as a pedicure and Mulberry Madness is a great alternative to Razzle Dazzle if you don't want to spend that much on a polish. Formula was nice on all of them except Merry Mittens but thinner will fix that. I'm really pleased. Winter Dreams will be available online and in stores at Sally Beauty on November 1st.

Deborah Lippmann Today Was A Fairytale

This is the perfect name for this polish. It's very airy and fairy like with it's blueish silver color and glitter. Deborah Lippmann has been doing really well with the glitters lately. I pulled out Orly Pixie Dust to wear as a base and I realized the names kind of go together. Ha! I love amusing myself.

Here is Pixie Dust alone. I do so love this color!

Here is Today Was A Fairytale over it and it looks really great. It's very icy and wintery. I really like this one and I think it will look great over a darker color.

Some New Hard Candy Spam

I was at Walmart trying to hunt down the Libman Freedom Mop. I want this mop like I want nail polish. Usually I do not get excited over cleaning products but I am about this one. It worries me actually. I didn't find the mop (dammit!) but I did come home with a few of the new Hard Candy polishes. They are $5 a bottle and that is a little spendy considering they are smaller than the average bottle and the new colors aren't unique. If you have easy access to these they may curb your craving for certain colors. I don't think they are worth hunting down but they are fun.

Beetle is a dupe for Orly Space Cadet and MAC Mean & Green. It's a tad less sheer compared to the other two but that is the only minor difference. I do love this color though.

Zombie is a holo/glitter in a tinted purple base. Fun and reminds me of NYX Frizz Spots. I wore this over OPI Do You Lilac It. This is actually Hot Pants renamed to Zombie. I didn't see the real Zombie polish but you can see a swatch here at Lacquer Laine.

Mischief is a dupe for China Glaze Ick-A-Bod-Y with the murky green base with orange glitter. I was suprised at how nice this went on and it didn't eat topcoat.

Mushroom is a dark taupe creme much like a number of other dark taupe cremes. I needed three coats since the formula is a bit on the thin side. It is very shiny and it seems to lean more neutral on the taupe scale.
